Foreign Trade Zone
A Foreign Trade Zone is a secured area within the U.S. where merchandise can be admitted without the immediate payment of customs duties or excise tax. Merchandise Admitted into the FTZ can be repacked, relabeled, cleaned, sorted, sampled, exhibited, assembled, or exported, without paying customs while in the FTZ.
